Owing to our numerous years of expertise in the field of horology, we have our research & development department that creates and engineers all watch movements and external components. The individual parts of the movements and cases are produced, finished, and assembled in-house, from simple models and complex designs to co-created movements.
This first phase of creating movements is entrusted to design experts in the field of Computer-Aided Design (CAD), a technology which allows designs and technical drawings to be displayed in two and three dimensions. With the help of highly efficient computational methods, the precise architecture of each component can be determined long before a prototype is built.
Once the virtual design of the movement has been completed and approved, the next phase of prototyping is carried out by our in-house specialists. We manufacture a series of movement component prototypes from which the first complete movements will be built. These are then subjected to exhaustive tests designed to uncover possible functional shortcomings and material weaknesses. This process will be continued until all deficiencies have been corrected.
Each movement is subjected to meticulous inspection, both electronic and optical measuring devices are used with the aim of finding any discrepancies that could interfere with the precision or function of the movement: tests include shock resistance tests, temperature tests, anti-magnetic tests, static discharge, sun rays tests and dynamic tests. In addition, vibration, intensity, artificial sweat tests and humidity tests are carried out to ensure that only flawless products leave the facility.
Titan has continued to set itself apart with one of its most iconic models, Titan Edge. Marketed as "the world's slimmest watch", the 4.4mm ceramic Titan edge was a response to customer demands for comfort, robustness, superior quality and timeless elegance. Titan Edge series has been honoured with the prestigious Red Dot Design Award consecutively from 2012-2014.
Multi-function movements from Titan has the functions such as Date, Day, 24 hr & offset second with several eye options. Titan has approximately 20 multifunction movement varieties with different eye options. In addition to the above types, Titan is capable of customization of movements according to the client requirement .
